As we move closer to officially launching Queenstown’s newest subdivision, it seemed timely to offer an update on how it’s looking and what progress is being made. We are pleased to report that there is plenty of activity on-site and the vision for Kawarau Heights is starting to take shape. Sections in Queenstown are in short supply, and this brand-new subdivision is a cut above.
Whilst Kawarau Heights already offers flat ground that will be easy to build on, earthworks are well underway to ensure that the lots are fully-prepared and levelled.
Contractors working on roading, drainage and services have also been kept busy. Within a few months we anticipate curb and channeling to be completed, with the roads being prepared for asphalting in the spring.
Utility infrastructure is being installed with each Kawarau Heights lot benefiting from Queenstown Lakes District Council reticulated services (water, wastewater and stormwater), electricity, fibre optic broadband cable and natural reticulated gas. Installation of services is scheduled for completion December 2021.
The planting of feature trees and native and exotic shrubs and hedging is bringing colour and shape to the sections. The developers have drawn inspiration from the surrounding Alpine environment and committed to a landscaping plan to enhance the built environment. Sections are being pegged out and lot signage installed.
Our new sales office has also been completed and will welcome visitors to Kawarau Heights.
Keep checking back for more progress updates and please ensure that you have registered your interest to receive information on the sales process for purchasing in Kawarau Heights.
